FRCPath Part 2 Morphology Revision
Preparing for the morphology components of FRCPath Part 2 means seeing as many films and marrows as possible — and seeing them the way the exam presents them. Virtual Microscopy gives you a free library of over 2,500 digital slides: blood films, bone marrow aspirates, trephines and lymph nodes, each one a complete scanned slide you can pan and zoom exactly as you would at the microscope.
Practise the way the exam tests you
- Mock examinations — timed papers built from real digital slides, in the style of the Part 2 morphology stations.
- FRCPath Part 2 preparation courses — with recorded content from experts in morphology.
- Practice cases — work through unseen cases and commit to a diagnosis before the answer is revealed.
- Viva practice — recorded viva topics and interactive practice with structured feedback.
- Dedicated NEQAS teaching — worked examples, teaching and NEQAS-style mocks.
- HPLC traces and teaching — interpret haemoglobinopathy traces alongside the films.
- Flow cytometry — examples and cases with interactive plots.
- Bone marrow trephines and lymph nodes — with full immunohistochemistry panels.
- 1,000 MCQs — for Part 1 preparation.
- Teaching sessions and tutorials — curated slide sets covering the conditions that recur in the exam, from acute leukaemias to haemoglobinopathies and parasitic infection.
Why candidates use it
Every slide is a full digital scan, not a static picture — you find the features yourself, at the magnification you choose, which is the skill the exam actually tests. Registration is free for individuals.
